Job Description

Work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA Engineers in establishing effective Usability test plans and scripts based on business requirements, conducting tests and reporting of the results. The position does not involve any design or programming. 

Collect testing needs from product development and management teams and determine the priorities that are consistent with business goals and objectives. 

Provide estimates for planning and execution of test efforts across teams and products 

Provide high quality testing while ensuring that tasks are completed within allotted time 

Plan, moderate focus groups, remote and one on one usability sessions to obtain user preferences and feedback. 

Present findings and recommendations in a plan that drives future design improvements. 

Generate wireframes and prototypes as needed. 

Assist in research projects employing observational techniques to better understand customer motivations, behaviours and needs. 

Test web applications for user-interface, functional, cross-browser and usability defects 

Document and track defects, issues and enhancements to resolution using defect tracking tools

Eligibility Criteria

4+ year’s relevant experience in testing web applications, mobile, and web services with atleast 2 years focus on customer experience as they interact with software or website. 

Experience with Usability research tools, User –centred design processes 

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate, and document bugs in complex software features 

Strong communication and collaboration skills 

Experience in Agile methodology 

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing concepts, tools and processes 

Ability to adapt in fast-paced development environment, multiple projects, and changing priorities 

Should be self-directed with effective time management skills. 

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate encountered problems or issues 


At least 2 years of relavent experience as a Usability Analyst / Usability Support Analyst or similar role in a professional environment. 

Bachelors or Masters’ in behavioural science or closely related discipline or Design Thinking , Interface Design or Computer Science. 

Preferably have basic knowledge on UNIX
