These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you”, “Customer”) and "Edu Angels India Private Limited", Jaipur, (“HireTale”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the HireTale ATS add-on for Google Sheets™ and related websites and services (the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

  1. The Service

HireTale provides an applicant-tracking add-on that helps you store, manage, and process candidate and recruitment data inside Google Sheets, according to your configuration, including an optional resume-parsing feature. You retain sole ownership of your data at all times, including after termination — your data remains in your Google account.

To deliver the column-protection and automation features, you authorize us to add ats@hiretale.com as an editor on the spreadsheet you install on and to route certain actions through it. You may remove this access at any time (which may disable those features).

  1. Accounts and your responsibilities

You are responsible for your Google account and for activity under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure.

  1. Plans, fees, and refunds

Plans. The Service offers a free plan (subject to usage limits, such as caps on the number of candidate records and resume parses), paid plans (Pro and Scale) billed monthly or yearly, and optional one-time credit packs for additional parses. The free plan is available on an ongoing basis within its limits; you are not required to purchase a paid plan.

Billing. Paid plans and credit packs are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method for applicable fees and taxes.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and paid features remain available until then. After a paid term ends, your account reverts to the free plan (within its limits) — the Service does not stop you from accessing your data.

No refunds. Except where a refund is required by applicable law, all fees are non-refundable. This includes subscription fees (including for partial or unused periods) and one-time credit packs (including any unused credits). Cancelling stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already charged.

Price and plan changes. We may change fees or plan limits on prospective notice; changes do not affect a paid term already charged.

  1. Acceptable use and your data obligations

You are the data controller for the candidate and recruitment data you process with the Service, and HireTale is your processor (see the Privacy Policy). You represent and agree that you will:

  • have a lawful basis and all necessary rights and consents to collect and process the personal data you enter or submit for parsing, and comply with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and data-protection laws;

  • only submit resumes for parsing where you are permitted to share them with a third-party processor (HRFlow.ai);

  • not use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or abusive purpose, or to store data you are not permitted to hold;

  • not attempt to circumvent plan limits, security, or access controls, or interfere with the Service’s operation; and

  • not use the Service to make unlawful automated or discriminatory employment decisions.

  1. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, designs, and content (excluding your data), is owned by HireTale and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service per these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative works of the Service.

  1. Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other’s confidential information and use it only to perform under these Terms, except as required by law. We treat your account and data as confidential and will not disclose it except as described in the Privacy Policy or as legally required.

  1. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms and describes how we collect, use, and share information, including the third-party providers we use.

  1. Third-party services

The Service runs on Google Workspace, uses Stripe for payments, HRFlow.ai to parse resumes you submit, and other providers described in the Privacy Policy. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services or for any change, unavailability, or action by them (including Google) that affects the Service.

  1. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that parsing results will be accurate or complete, or that it will meet your requirements. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of your data (your data resides in your Google account).

  1. Limitation of liability

HireTale will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

  1. Indemnification

You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HireTale and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your data or the personal data you submit (including resumes); (b) your use of the Service; or (c) your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

  1. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop using and uninstall at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service for breach of these Terms or as required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, but your data remains in your Google account; to fully revoke our access, remove ats@hiretale.com as an editor (see the Privacy Policy). Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 13) survive termination.

  1. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

  1. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. For material changes to the Terms we will provide notice (e.g., to your registered email or in-product). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
